What is an applet? |
|
An applet is a program or application that is started within another program. Such programs can include encryption technologies to prevent any unauthorized access to sensitive data such as credit card numbers.
There is no special software required for the use of applets; all you need is a normal browser (e.g. Microsoft Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator, version 3.0 or higher).
