Soo, grow jungle, i have a lot to say about this nursery/shop, i discovered it after ive been scammed multiple times on etsy and the plant dynasty, after spending a couple of thousands there during 2 months, i discovered that they are awful, not even plant lovers. They prefer if your plant dies because it had root rot, they let you repot, then they tell you oh you are out of warranty. Or they send you plants wrapped in moss and the moss is planted in chunky soil! A complete scam. They send you the plant again with the same mistakes they did the first time, the plant arrives dead again, they didnt even get back to me. If a plant arrives in a bad shape or just not like the one you ordered its 70% smaller, giving you 2 euros refund, then they tell you, its from plnts dot com just because it is a bad experience not thinking that whats bad about the plant is that, it is far from the description on nasty website. So yes they are narrow minded, they do everything online they dont even have one in stock, they just publish what nurseries around have and they collect it to you once you pay,
thats why each order comes different, they never check the box before sending! And many many things, also if you come back and become regular they contact you offering 10 % discount on orders over 200 euros, so you would do their payments through a bank transfer! No paypal, looks like many people got their money bck. Long story short, thanks to that i was searching for a pipper to purchase so i went through many of my regular shops, the best deal was on nasty! But they were not aware its sold out until i payed and ordered ! So i fasten my seat belt and run through their entrance door, destroying it, not even wanting refunds back i just want them to get what they deserve in return! So i introduced myself to the jungle, and made a big order right away, why? Because decent prices, nice collection, you get more than what you pay for, they are transparent, nice vibe!
I teach nature and art in a faculty in Europe, so i basically use my plants to integrate them in my corses, so im quite informed about agriculture nature and plants, and i teach my students to start having a good amount of knowledge so they are not peanut head but can actually maintain good looking plant at theirs, since all my students are into that, so the final project is always a difficult yet artistic project, like terrariums, plant selection, closed eco system with the right amount of water inside, handmade recycled pots.
So in addition of 780 plants i have, without counting rooted cuttings, i supply students with plants they like, by cutting down mother plants after air layering and distribute the cutting to the students, the university has a nursery of plant collection, because the students pay in the tuition a big amount in addition because of the amount of rare stunning plants they get throughout the long workshop. i supply them with rooted cuttings for their projects, so i have a back up, i could buy a plant multiple times. I take a cutting and send it to the university nursery collection, what more can i ask for, they sponsor me to do plant shopping, which is my hobby.
Grow jungle always offers in the photo plant material that is generous to the amount of money or the price tag to it, which is a motivating thing to make the purchase, some variegated plants they even upload a photo of each plant, so they do basically spoil their customers,
knowing me, and how difficult i could be, i only see the empty part of the glass! With jungle i couldnt really find the empty part of the glass,
The surprise i always receive my plant or a copy of what i payed for but usually receive better one as in aesthetically and quantity. So an example, i ordered a florida beauty, the variegation i receive is to die for, the plant is maturer, the price tag was cheap to the published plant and drastically lucky after you get to meet your new plant! Surprise im home, and yes very pretty as you can see!!
Im currently waiting for 3 variegated thai to add them to my 25 variegated albo.
Im very lucky there is someone that comes to water my plants, i also water but with such an amount of plants, you need someone double checking that i didn’t forget anything, since there isn’t a fix schedule to water, depends on the plant. But yes with such a collection, i need an inspection once a week.
If you have an issue with your plant jungle follows up on you, send you 1 2 or even three replacements!
Good job! But like everything on earth that is highly successful do have things to work on, i think the nursery is lacking of predatory mites, i never received one on my plants.
Plants should be sprayed down heavily with a strong chemical to make sure that anything living on the plants has died off especially if there is no beneficial al mites to be aware off!
Im mentioning that because its is very important! For busy people with unique collection
i can not tolerate getting an infestation running through 30% of my collection, this didnt stop me from purchasing more and more plants! And i would really appreciate if they do spray down the plant, so at least the situation is under control. And not out of hand, even though i kept some plants not touching each others until i treated them, and still, i could see that it has spread from the first floor to the second floor! Plants i have since 15 years, climbing everywhere, they never were subject for mites, i had to cut down trailing plants back to stay inside their pot! I couldn’t propagate all that. I wanted them in compost asa cut down.
So i advise you to check jungle website everyday you might have special deals,
Once you receive the plant, before puttin it in isolation, treat it! Right away chemically, brush off the top soil until you see roots, as much as you can and try to replace it with the same media, with a cm of fine dry sand, And do take into consideration to bottom watering for the first two months.
Yeah so thats the first review i write after buying plants because i buy weekly! But i couldnt not to appreciate the fact that even though you pay for a great deal, you receive stunning and breath taking ones.
This is rare! Usually we are happy to receive the same as ordered! And it rarely happens.
Platinum Regards
Marc
